Since 2017, we have been developing Hily, a dating app that inspires people to be authentic and makes the dating process exciting.
We do everything possible to understand our users’ needs and shorten their journey from registration to finding the perfect match. We also make effort to ensure our users feel safe and comfortable.

Team BreakdownAt Hily, product cross-functional teams are responsible for user experience, monetization, UX, and more.
These teams consist of Product Managers, Analysts, and Designers, working with the support of the Engineering, Mobile, Backend, and QA departments.
The Marketing team includes the Performance Marketing, Creative Production, Brand & Comms, and Analytics departments.
Additionally, Hily’s growth is supported by teams in Business Development, Support, Finance, Legal, HR, Office Management, and Help Desk. -
Product Team StructureThe Product & Engineering team consists of four cross-functional teams:
1) Revenue Team — works on app monetization.
2) Core Experience Team — improves UX and delivers a top-tier user experience.
3) Community & Safety Team — ensures user safety within the app.
4) Algorithms Team — develops the app’s matching algorithms.
These teams test over 20 hypotheses each month, with about 50% of them concluding during the testing phase. -
The challenges we faceOur key challenge is balancing delivering a high-quality user experience and growing revenue.
We focus on improving the app's experience for women — this is currently a strategic priority for all teams. -
Life at HilyThe Hily team is all about having a straightforward process. We don’t believe in “brilliant insights on the fly” — only data, research, and validated hypotheses.
Within the team, we frequently hold brainstorming sessions where we analyze, challenge, and refine every idea. The result? Steady and consistent growth year after year. After each retrospective, it’s time for a casual team hangout organized by our CPO.

Hily team highlights
In 2024, the Hily team launched brand campaigns in San Diego and Los Angeles, reaching over three million people.
During the same period, Hily was featured in a product placement in Shenseea’s music video, which garnered over two million additional views.
In the first half of 2025, Hily received over 100 product mentions in Tier-1 media outlets, including Forbes, Mashable, New York Post, Vice, Time, HuffPost, Newsweek, Glamour, and Elle. Hily also appears on television, including CBS12, Fox11, KTLA, Fox31, and more.
Hily’s Marketing team creates and tests up to 3,000 creatives each quarter. Thanks to this effort, the app saw a 14% increase in downloads in 2025 compared to 2024.
